 Today will be our first excursion to visit some of the ancient sites in the midlands of Ireland. We will stop at an ancient monastery dating back to the 6th century (that's over 1400 years ago!). Learn about the life of the monks, and see some of the most impressively preserved high crosses anywhere in Ireland.

Onward from Clonmacnoise, we will travel to the oldest recorded pub in Ireland, dating back to 900 AD. Have a drink and some lunch in this charming town, before heading back to our base where we will join in the Stradbally town's kickoff of the Steam Rally with a parade and activities.

This is your day in Ireland to do what makes you happy without a schedule! We know it is important for you to have the time to explore the magic of Ireland at your pace. Today gives you the opportunity to slow down, sleep in, take a train to Galway or Cork, or simply find some shops and a pub and relax in town.  

Later this evening, we will gather together for a group dinner at the Killeshin Hotel.

We have a fun-filled day for you today, as we take a trip to explore some of the beauty of neighboring Waterford County.
 

We have a visit to the famed House of Waterford Crystal today, where you will see first-hand how the Master Artisans create crystal works through blowing, cutting, and designing beautiful Waterford Crystal.
 

A fine group dinner at one of the most historic hotels in Waterford will be followed with live music and entertainment.
 

For this evening's entertainment, join the band at a local venue for music and entertainment.

We travel back to Dublin city today, and start our day with a tour of Teeling Whiskey Distillery. Learn about the history of Irish Whiskey, and have a sip of one of the newer brands coming from Ireland. 

After our visit, we will depart to our beachside hotel located just outside of Dublin City along the coast.
