Welcome to our New Year's Holiday Experience in Ireland!
If you have joined us for the holiday season in the past, then you know this is a great time to tour a bit, laugh a lot, and relax in some very fine properties in Ireland this coming holiday season. We will depart right after Christmas, and ring in the New Year together.
This trip will have a great mix of history, landscapes, and pubs. We are calling this trip "The New Year Experience - The 12 Pubs of Christmas". We will challenge ourselves to visit 12 authentic pubs throughout the trip. Can we do it? I think we are up to the challenge.

Visit Ireland's northern reaches on this trip, and breathe in the natural beauty of Donegal and the Northern Ireland coastline. Join us for great food, great company, and landscapes that will take your breath away.
This will be a group tour focused on celebrating the New Year in Ireland, taking in some sights, and enjoying the season - with plenty of craic to be had. What is "Craic", you say? (/kræk/ KRACK), or "crack" is a term for fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation, and is the quintessential Irish way of comradery and enjoyment - we will find plenty of that in the many quaint pubs and restaurants we will visit in Ireland.

Depart the USA for Ireland
Leave the remainder of the holiday leftovers with your family and depart for your Ireland flight! Flights from the USA to Ireland are late afternoon/overnight flights.
Our pickups will be in Dublin airport on December 28th. Please arrange your flights into Dublin by 10:30 am on Dec 28th.
Alternatively, you may choose to book a flight to Belfast, where you can opt for a taxi from the airport to the hotel.
Saturday December 28th, 2024
Dublin Arrival
Land at Dublin Airport, and complete customs and immigration formalities before meeting your tour driver/guide, who will welcome you to Ireland. We will transfer to the north of Ireland into the heart of Belfast City.
A wee nap on the way north will have you ready for a tour of the Belfast Titanic Museum today. We wil then return to the hotel for some relaxation before the introductory group dinner.

Sunday December 29th, 2024
Belfast City and the Giant's Causeway
We will drive up the Antrim coastal road today to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Giant's Causeway, an amazing natural seaside site formed from lava and basalt. This protected area is unlike any other on the globe.
Dress warm and bring your rain gear - December in this location could serve up just about any kind of weather. The tourists will be scarce, and we can enjoy what the wild North Atlantic Ocean wishes to throw at us as we experience this awe-inspiring location. Additional sights that we will visit today include Dunluce Castle.
When done touring, we will head back to our cozy accommodation in Belfast for some pub time and fun!

Monday December 30th, 2024
We will depart Belfast today and head to Derry Ireland where will learn more about this historic town, the only fully walled city in Ireland with architecture dating back to the seventeenth century.
Full of ancient and more modern history, you will have free time to explore the way you like - take a walk along the walls, visit the Museum of Free Derry to learn more about the time of the Irish Troubles, or simply cozy into a pub and relax with a pint.
When we finish touring for the day, we head back on the road bound for Donegal - and our favorite hotel in all of Ireland - Harvey's Point.
We will have 3 luxurious days at Harvey's Point, where we are nestled in the mountains around the pristine lake of Lough Eske. Warm turf fires, Irish hospitality, and stunning views will greet you.
Rest a bit and we will meet for dinner in Harvey's Point restaurant.

Tuesday December 31st, 2024
Slieve League Cliffs and New Year's Celebration
Today we will start the day with a tour to see the highest sea cliffs in Europe. The cliffs rival the views anywhere in Ireland (3 times the height of the famous Cliffs of Moher!)
We will enjoy some fresh air, and then head back to the warm walls of Harvey's Point.
This evening we will enjoy a New Year's celebration at Harvey's Point. This will include fine dining followed by entertainment in the hotel.

Wednesday January 1st 2025
New Year's Day
It will be a laid-back day today, giving you time to take in a leisurely breakfast and to enjoy your superb surroundings at Harvey's Point.
This evening we will gather for a fine dining experience at the neighboring Lough Eske Castle.

Thursday January 2nd, 2025
Castle Leslie
Heading southbound today, we will make a stop in the town of Monaghan to help us on our goal of visiting the 12 Pubs of Christmas on our travels.
You will have some free time to explore, with a visit to the well-regarded local museum or a host of available pubs. We will then make our way to the stunning estate of Castle Leslie in Co Monaghan where we will settle into our well-appointed lodge.

Friday January 3rd 2025
Castle Leslie
Today we will live like ladies and lords with activities at the castle. You may plan some free time for your vacation dreams today with a spa treatment, a relaxing book at the fire, a pint at the pub with new friends, or a walk in the forested rolling hills on the 1,000-acre estate.

Saturday January 4th 2025
Dublin City
Departing for our final destination today, we will wind our way through the countryside to make stops at two of the most iconic Irish Heritage sights in Ireland - Trim Castle and the New Grange monolithic tomb site. The tombs at New Grange and Knowth are a World Heritage Site, dating back to before the Egyptian pyramids. Walk in the footsteps of the very ancient past with a special visit to this global wonder.
We will make our way to our last hotel this evening where we will gather for one final meal before parting ways. New friendships will have been forged, and memories made for a lifetime.

Sunday January 5th 2025
Departure Day
We will be located near Dublin airport this morning. We will have one coach run to the airport, or you may schedule a taxi if you wish to remain longer or extend your stay in Ireland. We will be approximately 20 minutes to the airport and 20 minutes to Dublin City Center.
