Our transportation is spacious and comfortable - we will never pack our bus, but we will have an appropriately sized vehicle for our group.
Healy Tours' Escorted Tours feature a professional driver and guide, as well as a native Irish host. Sit back and relax, take a nap or have a pint along the way, we've got this covered.
Our groups are small, with 10-30 guests. You will enjoy the company, and there is plenty of down-time to explore on your own as well.
This is Killarney at about 11:00 pm - still light in June! A great town, where music spills onto the streets!
A highlight for us is to take a bike ride, horse ride, or walk through Killarney National Park. Stunning scenery, and very peaceful. Look for the waterfall, or stop and do some shopping at Muckross House.
This is Dublin Harbor, near Malahide. Again, this is nearly 11:00pm, and the sun is still up. A beautiful part of the city.
The food is excellent in Ireland. You will find that the quality of the food is very good, and the preparation is top-notch. You will not just be eating stew and fish and chips (although we highly recommend trying a few different rounds of fish and chips while you are there).
Our group dinners generally include a 3-course meal with appetizer, main, and dessert. There are always meat, chicken, and fish options, as well as pasta or vegetarian options available. Ireland can certainly cater to gluten-free, allergies, and specific requests. Most Irish meals are sourced from only Irish farms - think grass-fed beef, organic chicken, and local fruits and vegetables.
We choose our hotels in unique locations, and where we know you will have the most comfortable stay possible.
We want your days to be fun-filled, and your nights to be restful, where we can gather as a group in the pub or restaurant and enjoy our evenings.
With a mix of 4 and 5-star hotels on our escorted tours, you know you will be in for a luxurious treat!
Many of our hotels have world-class spas so that you can take some time for yourself to relax and unwind on your vacation.
We always get asked 'What will the weather be like'. Well, that is always hard to know, but generally, you can expect some cold days in the 50's, with blustery winds, and of course some Irish Rain. For summer tours, expect some days where short-sleeves will be enough. Ireland has a temperate climate, with temp ranges between 35 degrees in winter to 75 degrees in summer, and it does not vary that much from those temps year-round.
You may be lucky and get some 50-degree weather in winter, or a trip with no rain in summer! All of the below photos were taken in June - you can see we are dressed pretty warmly most days. Prepare for wind and rain!
Craic (/kræk/ KRAK) or crack is a term for news, gossip, fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation in Ireland. It is often used with the definite article – the craic – as in the expression "What's the craic?" (meaning "How are you?" or "What's happening?").
Our tours really boil down to the Craic. The human connection, the fun, the laughs, and the life-long friendships that we watch unfold on these tours.
Leave us your name and email and we will let you know when we have our next tour planned!
