Join us for the next Escorted Tour of Ireland with Healy Tours! Whether this is your first tour with us, or you have traveled with us on a Healy Tour in the past, there will be fresh experiences along with familiar faces to greet you.
Our tour starts with a place very special to us: a small fishing village not far from our home in Ireland. This village has all of the charm you'd hope to find in Ireland, away from the tourist beat, and we will make it our home for three nights. Think tiny pubs, music, cliff walks, beach walks, breathtaking sea views, and, of course, history and culture throughout.
From here, we spend four nights immersed in the magical beauty of Killarney, where you will embark on day trips from our base. You will experience the famed Muckross Park and portions of the Ring of Kerry, outdoor pursuits, and in-town entertainment.
Next, we will travel to Galway for two nights and experience all the fun that Galway has to offer. Plenty of traditional pubs, excellent food, and music will be at our doorstep.
Circling back to Dublin, we will take in some sights for one more night before preparing for departures the following day.
Here at Healy Tours, we aim to give you authentic experiences in Ireland, as we visit some of the world's most beautiful locations. The written itinerary is just a part of the magic you will experience, as it is impossible to capture on paper the places and the people you will meet along the way.
We cap our tours at a comfortable group size of about 30 guests. You will always have plenty of time to "do your own thing" as you please, with daily activities optional. We provide the planning, the transport, and the bookings, you just come and enjoy!
All accommodation, transportation, excursions, and daily breakfasts are included-- read on for the full details!

On our way south from Dublin airport today, we will make a lunch stop in the delightful town of Kilkenny. Whether you want to take time to tour the castle, find a shop, or just relax with a pint and some lunch, you will have some time to catch one of the many compelling attractions in Kilkenny.
Our coach will then take us further south to the sea-side town of Dunmore East where we will check in to our hotel. A relaxing evening with dinner, a walk or some rest will have you ready to wake to the sea-breezes tomorrow.
Dinner & Overnight: The Haven Hotel
Dunmore East Cliff Walk | County Waterford
Waterford, or Port Láirge ("Lárag's port" from Viking days), is where your host Billy hails from, and the place the Healy family calls home in Ireland. We are thrilled to be visiting our home county of Waterford again on this trip in 2026. History dating back hundreds of years, Viking settlements, pastoral countryside and beautiful sea views are in store for us.
Today is all about taking in the beauty that surrounds us in this tranquil village. We will start our day with some fresh air and movement, as we head to the scenic Dunmore East Cliff Walk. We will take a short ride just outside of town and then walk the 1.5 mile back via the cliff walking path.
The path is walking-friendly, and you can move at your own pace. This is more of a walk than a hike, but if you are unsure of your walking ability, you can rest up with seaside views from the hotel or explore the small village of Dunmore East.
Overnight: The Haven Hotel
Cultural Sights | Waterford City
Today we will take a short trip to the town of Waterford where you can take in the rich history of the first settled town in Ireland.
Our visit begins with a tour of the House of Waterford Crystal. While here, learn about glass blowing, cutting and see first-hand how the art and craft of crystal and glass making work.
Next on our agenda is a visit to Reginald’s Tower, where you will learn the compelling and often violent history of the settlement of Waterford.
You may want to visit the Bishop's Palace, Waterford Cathedral, or even Waterford Treasures if museums are to your taste. Reginald's tour offers a compelling look into the Viking settlement of Waterford.
We will have lunch in town and head back to the village for some music and fun this evening
Overnight: The Haven Hotel
Blarney Castle and Woolen Mills
We will make our way westward today, en route to Killarney.
As we pass through County Cork, we will make a tour stop to see the famous and impressive Blarney Castle and take a tour of the castle and grounds. Stunning countryside views, bubbling brooks and nature abound in this valley where the castle stands today.
We will stop at the Blarney Woolen Mills, often termed "The largest Irish store anywhere", where genuine Irish products from crystal to Aran sweaters, to the finest in Irish crafts are proudly on display.
You will have time to explore the Blarney castle and gardens, and perhaps even to kiss the famous Blarney Stone if you are feeling a bit adventurous.
After our stop, we continue our journey through the Cork and Kerry
mountains, landing in Kerry for the evening.
Overnight: Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa
Muckross House, Garden, Farm, Waterfall
This morning, we wake in the lively town of Killarney. There is much to do and see in Killarney, and to start, we will visit the Muckross Estate, encompassing the Gardens, House, and Traditional Farm, all within the National Park.
Tour the grand Victorian mansion, placed in the prettiest location imaginable along side the lakes of Killarney. Grab a bite and drink at the cafe before heading over to the traditional farms for a look at rural life in Ireland from the past.Take your time with a walk through Muckross Park, perhaps stop at the secluded beaches along Muckross Lake, and take a pleasant walk to the Torc Waterfall.
After our day touring in the National Park, you will be escorted back to town where you can then enjoy the evening with free-time to explore.
Tonight, we have a great event lined up with an evening of Irish cultural music and stories. This is a show not to be missed while in Killarney!
Overnight: Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa
Garinish Island and Glenariff
We embark on a day-trip from Killarney today, to visit some lovely towns and outstanding scenery on parts of the Beara Peninsula.
Keeping with our theme of the sea on this trip, we will take a short, mainly calm, ferry ride across to Garinish Island. This is a fascinating place – if you are a garden lover – not to be missed.
We will spend some tranquil time exploring the gardens of Garinish, before heading back to the mainland for some lunch and perhaps some shopping in a local village.
About an hour outside of Killarney, we will return with plenty of time to get dinner and find pub time at your leisure.
Overnight: Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa
Explore Killarney
As we previously said, there is so much to do and see in Killarney!
We will set you up with the things that make you happy. If an additional day-trip out of town is to your liking, perhaps hopping on a full tour of the very famous Ring of Kerry will suit your tastes – if you prefer less bus time, then maybe a bike rental or a swim in Muckross Lake is your thing. Visit the hidden beach in Muckross Park, take a boat ride on the lakes, or hike on the Gap of Dunloe. Are you more of the indoors type? Then some pubs and shopping in town may be more to your taste.
Whatever your “happy place” is, we can help you find it in Killarney.
Overnight: Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa
St. John’s Castle | Limerick | Galway
We will head north to Galway today, while taking in some sightseeing along the way.
We will make a stop in the city of Limerick, an ancient medieval city with a historic castle and beautiful cathedrals. First a lunch stop to fuel us for our tours at one of the many eateries that Limerick has to offer.
Our first tour will be at King John’s Castle, built over 800 year ago, in the heart of medieval Limerick City. We will take some time to learn about Limerick City and the castle and the history that has unfolded in this region over the past 1000 years.
A short walk from the castle, and we will make a stop at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Once we wrap-up our time in Limerick, we will continue on to Galway where we can check into our hotel and enjoy the evening.
Dinner & Overnight: The Salthill Hotel
“Saint Mary’s Cathedral was founded in 1168 AD and stands majestically over the City of Limerick on the banks of the River Shannon. It is one of the most important medieval buildings to survive intact in Ireland, which is still performing its original function.
It is believed to have been built on the site of a Viking thingmote (meeting place), and later the palace of the O’Brien kings of Thomond. It is an extraordinary building that has been ever-present during invasions, sieges, battles, wars, famines and times of peace. It is also a treasure of Irish religious art.”
– from St. Mary’s Cathedral
Food tour and welcome to Galway
We will start our introduction to Galway with a food tour! What better way to get the “lay of the land” and understand what makes Galway tick than with a personal introduction to the city streets and the great foods that you may not otherwise experience.
This will be a small group walking tour, during which you will enjoy a variety of foods that are special to the region.
After our touring, you will have the evening to explore Galway and all the fun it has to offer. Galway is a busy place with music, pubs, and people watching galore. It is hard not to enjoy Galway!
Known for its laid-back vibe and fun-loving atmosphere, Galway is central to the Irish music scene and Irish culture.
Overnight: The Salthill Hotel
The road back to Dublin
Today we hit the highway and head back east to Dublin, where we will position ourselves in a good spot for outbound flights tomorrow.
We will plan a tour along the way to introduce you to the Midlands of Ireland.
We will check into our hotel and have our last supper together before saying goodbye to old friends and new ones.
Dinner & Overnight: The Grande Hotel Malahide
